What is considered best practice with many users using the same template:
1. Changing each computer's copy of Word so that the default
startup/templates folders are a network location
2. Creating a startup routine that looks to see if the network template has
changed and then downloading/installing it on each computer.
At what number of users does 1. start to fail?
Another question: I have a autoexec block that checks the Windows logon
credentials against a Access record; if the credentials are in the security
table, then an add in is loaded. This was done to prevent unauthorized
access to resources via the add in. Does this make sense? Is there a better
way?
