Firstly thank you for a very informative newsgroup. Best I have been for a
long time.

My question is - I am looking for a template so I can type up on a sheet of
paper, a list of file names for my filing cabinet, using nice fonts, then
cut them out. You know like the bits of paper/card to go into those
transparent tabs on the swing file?

I have Word 97 etc.

This is where I did my search before asking the newsgroup. No luck on this
link.

It would be easy to just create a "table" in Word to type your file
names into and print that.

You are right Bob, I just wanted the template so I won't have to measure the
squares. I can never get the right measurements of anything from the screen
ruler line. But maybe even can do it in Excel.

I'm sure a template exists somewhere as we had it at the last job I was at.

I use label formats for things like this. I imagine that one of the shipping
label formats would be the right size.
