I have attempted to create a template for use by a group of folks to chart
various business processes. As part of the template, I created a custom
stencil. Unfortunately, when I distribute the template to another computer,
the stencil does not go with the template.
How do I save a stencil to a template to be shared over a number of machines?
Thanks
Paul

When you distribute the template ( .vst file ) you have to send the
stencil ( .vst file ) as well even though the two files may be linked.

Correction: Stencil files have a .VSS extension.

Also take a look at the Document Stencil under File > Shapes > Show Document
Stencil. Every Visio drawing has a stencil built in. You could put your
shapes in here and ship just the one file. The downside is explaining to
everyone how to find the Show Document Stencil command.
