Templates

I created a template in Project 98. How do I use this
template? When I select file / new, all I get is a generic
blank project.

I can open or copy the template file and save it as a
regular project, but I was expecting a little more.

The help function only tells me what I already know - how
to create a template. It says nothing about how to use one.

Hi Dan,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

What version of Project are you using? In 2002/2003 standard, on the left
there is a dialog called Project Guide allowing you to search for and select
the template you want. If you have 2000, a New dialog box opens with a
Templates tab. In all cases this only occurrs when you use File/New from
the menu and not through the New toolbutton.
