Where should I save a templet (Word, Excel, etc.) so that when I open a new
document in any Offcie program, I can easily locate and open templets on my
computer?

You should save it under user templates. The default path is:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

Change USERNAME to whatever you currently use for your own username.
