Templete Help and Saving Excel

Hi,
Perhaps someone can help me. I am having trouble getting
rid of the "Templete Help" box on the right side of the
screen when I open up an Excel Document. It appears every
time I open an Excel Doc. and I can't seem to set a defalt
so that it does not open. Also, when I open an Excel doc.
and do not make any chanages, when I close the doc. I am
prompted to "save the changes". What is causing that?
