temporarily deactivate account

Hi,

in Outlook 2000 I could have a bundle of mail accounts configured, and
than there was a checkbox to "activate" the account (I don't know what
it says on the internationla version), so I could either have Outlook
check the mails coming to this account -- or let it be.

In Outlook 2003 (also in 2002) it seems to me I cannot do this. I can
either configure a mail account and check the mails -- or delete it.

Do I just miss the option, did it go elsewhere??

Thanks,
Ulrich

Tools..Options; Mail Setup tab. Click the "Send/Receive..." button.
On the dailog that opens, "All accounts" should be selected. Click
the "Edit..." button. You'll see a list of your email accounts in a
column of icons on the left. Click the one you want to exclude. The
settings on the right now pertain to this account. Uncheck "Include
the selected account in this group". Unless you have other account
groups defined that include this account, and these groups are
included in Send/Receive, the account you excluded will no longer
participate in Send/Receive. You can still select it explicitly on
the Send/Receive menu, if you like.
