Temporary disk space error

I am receiving an error in MS Access 2000 when I run a
query that will extract data from 2 tables, format it, and
import it into a local table. The data is coming from MS
SQL Server 2000. We have gone through to examine the
indexes for the tables. I have run the query and reduced
the date range so that I can maybe extract less data, but
the error still occurs. I am receiving the error 'Not
enough space on temporary disk'. I have reviewed the
drive space available and there is 11.5G available.
