terminal server problem

We have project 2003 professional installed on a 2003 terminal server for
remote users to use to access Project 2003 Server and are running into a
problem. Users on the Terminal Server can access the web interface but if
they try to use the client they get an error.
Our internal users have no problem accessing Project 2003 Server from their
desktop installations of Project 2003. They can also access it fine through
the web interface.
I can RDP to a desktop running XP and run the Project 2003 client without a
problem. I installed Project 2003 on another terminal server we have and it
gives the same error when trying to connect.

"Unexpected server response.
Project Server has returned an unexpected response.
Click the "View" button to view the server response as an error page in your
browser."

If you click View, it shows a web page with the URL and "HTTP Error 401.2 -
Unauthorized: Access is denied due to server configuration."

The server is listed under "Trusted Sites" and IIS is only configured for
Integrated Authentication.

The project server is running windows 2003 server, project 2003 server w/
SP2
The terminal server is running windows 2003 server, project 2003
professional w/ SP2
The other terminal server is running windows 2003 server, project 2003
professional (no SP).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

No luck. I tried adding the key even though the site is already in the
trusted sites list and there's no change.

When you say "the server is listed under "Trusted Sites"", where did you
add trusted on the Terminal Services server or as the user that logged
in to Terminal Services client?

I added it while logged in as a test user whose account is valid in Project.
I also tried elevating the user to an administrator to make sure it wasn't
permissions related. I used it when I tested out the web access from the
terminal server.

If you add project server to trusted zone, authorization on this site is not
automatic by default (in configuration of zone). By default automatic
authorization is only in Local zone only.
You must move project server from trusted zone to local intranet zone and
use register key to confige Project Professional.
Note that all of this settings are related with user configuration, not
machine. It's mean that you must do this settings for that user, wich work
with project professional

Did you install Project Pro to the terminal services machine using
Add/Remove programs from the Control Panel? Is your TS machine part of the
same domain? Are your TS users using their standard domain credentials? Are
they logging into the TS machine directly or are they going through VPN?
