Nick,

Before beginning the Office installation try this;

1. Go to Start | Run and type "cmd". (no quotation marks)
2. In the cmd prompt type; "change user /install" (no
quotation marks)
3. Hit enter.
4. Attempt to install Office.
5. If the Office install completes, go back to the cmd
prompt and type; "change user /execute" (no quotation
marks).
5. Hit enter and close the cmd prompt.
