Below, I describe my dilemma. I'd like to know what I could have done better
and what the best thing is to do now. (I made the subject "terminating a
recurring appointment" but my question applies equally to a recurring
meeting.)
Two years ago, I established a recurring appointment, nominally every
Wednesday. We did not know how far into the future it would go, so I chose
"No end date".
Occassionally since then, the appointment has been shifted to other days of
the week. This was easily accomodated by making these appointments
"exceptions."
Now we've decided that the project is finished and my supervision is no
longer needed, so I want to terminate the appointments. BUT, if I now change
the date range to "End by xxx", I get a warning that all the exceptions will
be lost. I don't want to lose the exceptions because they're part of my
record of what I was doing when, which is important for me to have.
I could go through and transcribe all the exceptions before I change to a
specific end date so that I can recreate them after they're lost. But that
seems ridiculous.
Am I missing something?
