Test Connection fails in Project 2003

I have setup a Project Server 2003 and can access it via PWA usning Windows
Authentication. In Project 2003, whenever I try to "Test Connection", for
example in Tools|Enterprise Options|Microsoft Office Project Server
Accounts, I get "Unexpected Server response" and a 401.2. The settings for
the account are

Account Name: My Windows user name (I have tried with and without the
domain name + '\')
Project Server URL: the very same URL I use for PWA
When connecting: Use Windows user account
Set as default account: Checked.

On the IIS I have tried allowing anonymous access but no luck

On the SQL Server I have made sure that MSProjectServerUser and
MSProjectUser have db_datareader access and are members of the MSProjectRole
and MSProjectServerRole.

Ans I have googled NG-ed and read every post I could find on this subject
and still can't connect to Project Server 2003 from Project 2003.

What do I need to do to get this to work?

Thanks!

Hi Jim,

I just ran in to this today.

For me it was because the URL for web access was not set as a trusted site
in Internet Explorer.

My server is listed as a trusted site in IE but I still can not connect.

Thanks for the reply,

Thanks for the reply,

Try resetting your security level for the trusted zone to the default level.
