Test control's value-change Back Color accordingly

John Hipskind

I would like to change the Back Color of a form's
control, depending on a test of the control's value.

Example:
The *allowable* height of a building is shown in a
control to be 50 ft.
The *actual* height, shown in another control, may be
less than or greater than this value....
1. If the actual height is less than the allowable
height, the back color of the actual height control would
be light green--the actual height complies.
2. If the actual area is greater than the allowable
height, the back color of the actual height control would
be light red--the actual height does not comply.

(Also, I'd like to select my own color numbers; the
standard colors are a little too stark, )

Thanks for your help.

John
