Testing, testing, 1...2....3...

They have actual board specifically for testing like this. Not exactly sure
where they are though. I don't know if they are on the web interface, and I
doubt we'd be permitted to install any kind of newsreader. ;-)

Try microsoft.public.testhere or microsoft.test. You would probably find
accessing newsgroups easier through a regular news reader program (such as
Outlook Express) via an account on msnews.microsoft.com. It is the server
which handles all Microsoft newsgroups. No logon, no password, and it is
free to anyone around the world. There are even scripting newsgroups, and
finding such interest is pretty easy with the search feature.

Oh. Cool. It actually sounds like it would be easier for us to use a news
reader than I thought. Still, anybody know if you actually can get to the
test boards from the web interface? The microsoft.test and microsoft.testhere
thingers don't seem to work. I don't see them listed in the groups on the web
interface, and typing that into your address bar finds nothing. You actually
have to go to Google and do a search, as far as I can tell. That finds it.
There must be an easier way that I'm missing.

I try to avoid using the web interface, Paul. But I believe the issue is
that attachments are not allowed through that access.

Yeah, the web interface is not that great. Right now, I just do not have much
choice. That may change in the future, possibly the near future. Maybe not. I
just hope that I'll still be able to use this forum in the future, so I'd
settle for the web interface if I get stuck with that.

Well, this is the wrong newsgroup for posting. This newsgroup supports the
OneNote program only. Unless you're prohibited because of employment
circumstances, anyone can use the NNTP news server I previously posted and
the free Microsoft public newsgroups through their own news reader. Outlook
Express in included free with every Windows operating system installation.
