Text alignment in Powerpoint

I"m using a mac mini with Office 2008 for Mac. I've opened a document I
created a few months ago, and cannot get the text inside the text box to left
align. What am I doing wrong? Is there any way I can attach the file so you
can see what I'm talking about? Thanks!
