Text and cursor issues

I have word 2003 on XP

I have an A4 letterhead set up with a graphic (jpg image) in the header and
footer. These graphics have modified wraparound points. I also have a BG
graphic that is about 1x3 pixels to indicate a fold line at 1/3 A4. This
graphic is behind set behind the text although no text runs over it.

When I get close to the bottom of the first page or run to a second page,
the line spacing of the last but one paragraph of that page is much tighter -
subsequent paragraphs are fine - like the rest of the document. Also the last
few lines of the last paragraph are not visible. If I delete a few lines of a
a visible paragraph SOME of the invisible text appears. If I run the cursor
to the end of the document and then use the left arrow one character back the
cursor then jumps to to the 'squished' para.

What gives? I would like the text to flow normally with consistant line
spaceing, no vanishing acts and no teleporting cursor!

Thanks

Just discovered that it prints out all 'invisible' text and no 'squishing' so
it seems that this is a display issue - I still would like a wysiwyg display
and a curor that behaves itself.

Thanks

It may be that updating your video driver would help, but in situations such
as this, Word is seldom entirely WYSIWYG.

Indeed!

I have since discovered that the cause was the wrap points, I have
comprimised my layout and removed the wrap points and everyone is happy -
well sort of!!
