text and Flag fields

Looks like text and flag fields do not carry between task and resource views.
Are there others? Is there common fields that can be used for both? Is this a
known bug?

As Jack inferred on the other reply--this is *not* bug. This is how the
data model for project information as implemented by Project works.
Tasks and resources are different things. Project provides you the
capability for you to use these custom fields to make your own
descriptors of structured information (text, numbers, flags, etc.)
related to tasks and resources.

I think you should try to to think of these fields as "carrying between"
but instead think of them as independent and attached to the tasks and
resources.

I'm not aware of custom fields that can be used for both as it would not
make sense in the context of how the project data model exists.

Till 2003 assignment custom fields did carry through. This has been modofied
with the 2007 version.

Yes, loss of Assignment fields is a loss. Part of the march towards
having everyone be forced to use Server, I think.
