text appearing due to drop down selection

Afternoon all,

I have a drop down menu that I would like to attatch a
macro to. I would like this macro to make certain text
appear in an area depending on your selection from the
drop menu. ie, if the person chooses "NSW" a NSW adress
appears below. If they choose "QLD" a Qld adress will
appear below. I am using word 97 and have very limited
programming experience. Please help if you can, I would
appreciate it. Thanks.

It sounds like you don't want a macro, but an AutoCorrect entry or
AutoText entry. That's what they're for. If you create an AutoText
entry, you can insert it the usual way (by typing the first four letters
until you're prompted to insert the rest), or you can assign the
AutoText entry to a menu or a keystroke.
