Labuiacs

Using Outlook 2000, text before the colon in a subject line is being
eliminated. For example:

Subject- MFG:parts list

When the message is replyed to it turns into

Subject- RE:parts list

There a KB articles on this hapening with a beta version of Outlook express
and on a 2002 product, but no information of it happening on Outlook 2000.
Any Ideas?

Thank You

If you are using Word as email editor, check Auto Correct & auto text
settings. Change to Outlook email editor and see if it still occurs.

In every version, AFAIK, Outlook interprets text followed by a colon as a prefix, not as part of the subject. Consider using a hyphen instead of a prefix.
