My workplace is cursed by Lotus Notes. As a long-term Outlook user, I can't
understand why anybody could buy that kind of crap. But that's enough for
the flame. Fortunately there is this Outlook connector available, which
makes Domino & Outlook interoperating possible.
I'm using the system now, and it seems to work just fine. I had to do none
extra configuring: just installed Outlook and then olconn.exe. Few question
(mainly "next or Yes"), and that's it. It is a quite slow, like it sometimes
wiats a while when loading Inbox, or during typing it freezes for a sec or
two, and the characters then comes from the "buffer" or so. And it also
takes a while to start it up.
But the one weird and annoying feature at the moment is, that all the
(company internal) mails that are sent from Notes, suddenly has their text
bolded. Ok, it doesn't annoy me, but if a reply or forward the message, the
bold stays. also, it seems to be some "virtual-bold", since if I try to edit
it I cannot change the bold-parameter (like, i cannot unbold or bold it),
but I can cursivize (?) it though.
The solution at the moment is, that when i reply or forward this notes
originated messga that has bold text in it, I have to choose "format=>plain
text", and then it is on plain text, and of course not bolded anymore. But
that has to be done separately for every outgoing message.
Wonder if there is any solution for that? Could it possible that Outlook
shows all the messages in plain text format? You can set the ouogoing
message's format but what about incoming messages? Any ideas?
Thanks and cheers,
