Text Box Character Counting

We use Infopath to feed data to EPM. Can Infopath display the character
count entered in a text box? Users often enter more than 255 characters;
overage gets cut off in EPM. Need to display count or stop entry at 255.
Please tell me where to send my IT folks for the answer.

Are you using InfoPath 2007?

If Yes:
- Select the TextBox
- Go to the display Tab
- Select Multi line (if needed)
- When Selected Multi line, be sure Paragraph Breaks are unselected
- Select Limit text box to and enter 255

This will stop your users entering more then 255 characters
