text box character limit

My InfoPath form has a text box which is connected to an Access Database. In
the Db, the text field is set to 250 characters, yet on the InfoPath form I
keep getting the error which says there is a 50 character limit. I can't
seem to change the data type in the text box properties - it is "greyed out".
How can I allow this text box to have more than 50 characters? Thanks for
helping me end my frustration!

Sounds like the 50 character limit is coming from Access. InfoPath will not let you change the database restrictions on a field.

Greg:

I suspected this too, so I changed the text box size in my database. I
still got the error. After your response, I checked the field size one more
time and realized that I had changed it on the table in the secondary
connection which supplies my data, but forgot to change it on the Main
Connection which of course stores and submits the data. Thanks for making me
look again and for the timely response! It's soooo good when things work!
