Text box duplication

I am creating a document with lot of text box diagrams. There are about three
drawing canvas per page and each has about 20 text boxes (some grouped and
some ungrouped). For the later pages I started copying the canvas from the
previous pages and made changes to it/added new text boxes. But when I insert
a new text box to the canvas in the later pages two linked text boxes are
created and any text entered in one flows into the other. I am not able to
de-link the text boxes because if I right click it shows only the "create a
linked text box". Any suggestions/advice ?

The fact that you refer to a "Drawing Canvas" suggests that you're using
some Windows version of Word. The group you've posted to is for Word on the
Mac which doesn't employ the canvas. You'll get more direct response if you
post to one of the Win Word groups which you can get to from here:
