Text box formatting in web site developed in Publisher 2007

I have created a website in Publisher with little issue except for one major
annoyance: if I change the format of a text box in my nav bar on page 1, it's
changing the format of that "button" on every page of the website.

I have not purposely linked these text boxes in any way, though I did create
the nav bar on page one first, then copy it to all the other pages.

Any suggestions for how to break this formatting link would be greatly
appreciated!

Thanks,

Scott

Because you copied and pasted the bars they are linked
If you ungroup them you can change one without affecting the others

Thanks for the reply Spike.

I thought of the "grouping issue as well, but the copied sets of text boxes
are not grouped at any level, and I can't find any other parameters tying
them together from web page to web page in my site. This is getting very
frustrating as it is one of the last issues I need to resolve before testing
my site online, but it's significant enough to keep me from proceeding.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

That was my best shot! I tried it out before I sent it to you and it worked
on my system (Publisher 2007 SP2 Vista OS). Opened a multi page site,
created a new navigation bar, ungrouped it, made a change to one and it did
not affect any of the others. If I did NOT ungroup it it DID affect the
others. Let's see if someone else can get a handle on this one.

Immediately after changing the format of the link text on the first page, go
to Edit > Undo Synchronize.

The navbars are 'linked' together by way of the navbar wizard because you
copied the wizard built navbar from the first page and pasted in on
subsequent pages.

I did not know that one.

Question: How am I to remember all that I learn on here! :)

Chuckle...I don't know ;-). Many times I work out a solution, or know an
answer, but then so much time passes before it is asked again, that I forget
it. I had to test this one out again before I posted it. What is really
frustrating is knowing that you used to know the answer, but can't figure it
out a second time.
