Text Box in Mac OS MS Word

Kay Atesci

Hi,
I am having trouble with the textbox on mac os word. How can I style
it in a way that the borders and the text typed in it will not have
shadows anymore? I just want a basic, simple, old school textbox and
seems like word won't allow that. Thanks a lot for help!

Well, it will allow that, but not as an application default.

Use the features of the Formatting Palette or Control/Right-Click the edge
of the box & select Format Textbox. Set the formatting attributes of your
choice.

Once you format the first one, Control/Right-Click it again & select Set
[ObjectType] Default. Any additional objects of that type you go on to
create in that document will be formatted in that way.

You might take a moment to use Help> Send Feedback to add your comments to
the others regarding a lack of global control -- It may not get changed in
2008 but hopefully there will be enough influenceto have the next release be
different.

Try
a. select your text box
b. View->Formatting Palette
c. set the stuff you want (e.g. look in "Shadow" and uncheck the box)
d. then select your text box, right click and choose "Set Autoshape
Defaults"
