Text boxes appearing different

Strange problem, strange question.
We have one group in a different domain creating Visio drawings for us but
when they place them on a central server for our group, the formatting of the
text is different in many cases. The files they are creating are designed to
be printed on a plotter that we do not have access to.

Would this be a printer issue or is there something else I can check. They
use a mixture of Visio XP and 2003.
