text boxes do not display in print preview (Microsoft Word 2000)

I created a single page document consisting entirely of text boxes. The text
in the boxes is formated as bold, normal 12 pt. Times New Roman font. The
boxes are fromated to display a border. No boxes overlap, no boxes are on
top of one another and the text boxes display fine in the print view but do
not show up on normal view. In print preview mode, the page appears blank.
When I attempt to print the page, either of my two printers merely spits out
a blank page. I have not had this problem in the past so I suspect it is due
to some change I made either to page setup or a style change. I made a
change to the style for normal -- indent first line but later went back and
changed this feature back to the way it was before.
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated

Drawing objects that are formatted with a text wrapping option
other than "inline with text" are, by design, not visible in
Normal view. In Word, click on Tools | Options | Print, and make
sure the "Drawing objects" box is checked.
