text boxes jumping around

C

cathy c.

We've created a document using text boxes (some linked,
some not). When we open the document in XP and 2000
(where we've created and edited) - no problem. When we
open in WIN98 or WIN95 - text boxes are out of place,
overlapping or too small for the text (which appears
larger in some boxes). We're past an important deadline
and need to figure out how to get a consistent looking
document that will open in versions of Word from 95 up.

Thanks,

Cathy C.

Hi Cathy,
We're past an important deadline

document that will open in versions of Word from 95 up.
This is probably not possible. Too many things have changed
in how Word handles graphical object and also in the way
Word lays out a page, to make this feasible. Combine that
with the fact that, in older versions of Word the layout
varied depending on the printer driver installed, and the
task is simply not possible.

If this is for viewing/reading, consider making a PDF file
so that people can look at it using Adobe Acrobat.
