Text boxes or AutoShapes?

I want to create a diagram of boxes with words in them connected by lines
(or arrows). Should I use Text Boxes with borders OR AutoShape rectangles
with text inside. What are the pros and cons of each approach??
I am using Word 2002.

YMMV, but I've never got on with Text Boxes - far too fiddly.

AutoShapes are great to work with, and WordArt text is easily moved to
just the right place, especially if you disable "snap to grid" in the
"Draw" options.

"Format AutoShape/Colors and Lines" should be set to "No Fill", and
"Format WordArt/Colors and Lines" set to "No Line" will probably
improve legibility.

You could always try the Organizational Chart in PowerPoint then copy
and paste it back into Word
