Text changing to rectangles in a table

I was changing some text fields in a few records of my Access DB table, and
now those fields/records changed to rectangles (or squares)? Any idea why?
Corrupted? The remaining records are the same, with the actual text in them.
I have already compacted/repaired the database, however, that did not
resolve anything. Thank you in advance!

If you see the bad data in the memo when viewing the table directly (not a
query), then yes: there is a corruption.

To solve it, delete the data from the memo field. If you can't do that, copy
the data from the other fields to a new record, and then delete the bad
record. If you can't delete the record or if the corruption occurred in many
records, see:

happening on 2 different databases - I will check out the link. Again,

Wendy, if this is happening in 2 databases, you may have another factor that
needs addressing. There may be a service pack you need to apply
(particularly if using Access 97 still), or a network instability (if data
is coming over the network), or ...
