Text columns entries in resource view?

I have entered aditional text columns in the 'gantt view' of my plan, I wish
these then to be viewable in the 'resource usage' and although I have
selected the same addition columns 'text 1' and 'text 2' in the resource
view, the data entered in the gantt view does not appear.

Can anyone advise me on how to get this information to appear?
