Text Converter

An instructor here at IVCC is having trouble opening a document she created
in Word (from 1998) using Word 2003. She is getting the following message
with whatever file type she tries.

"The selected text converter is an older version which does not work with
the current version of Word. Reinstall the converter and try again."

Try opening the document in WordPad. You can then copy and paste all the
text into a blank Word document of the current version.

We tried Wordpad and the file was blank. When we tried Notepad, it had
nothing but symbols, document properties, and printer properties. Anything
