Hi

Sorry no sure what my problem is or really how to describe the problem but
this is what happens.

I created a presentation in 2007 and it previews fine. I set the perameter
for 800*600 workingon the principle that it would be ok at 1024*768 as well.

When I preview via 2007 it's perfect.

Ok when I create the runtime cd and test it it runs and most slides display
perfectly but sometimes I get one or all of the following:-

words over lapping, one line with the font decreased to about 4px, In a
pragraph two lines will be half over each other.

If I restart the runtime then that same slide may be allright and another
show the errors.

Not really sure where to go from here- is it a runtime fault? or a main
program fault

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

cheers

Hi

I used the function under the circle logo (don't know what it's called)
publish -- package for cd

I assumed that this includes a 2007 version of the powerpoint reader so
anyone can view it. In other software this is called a runtime sorry for the
confusion

Oh, it's fine. I just wanted to know what exactly you were doing, because
"runtime" could mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people.
Appreciate the clarification. Saves me from pontificating about 10 different
subjects! :)

PowerPoint 2007 Viewer seems to have issues with some fonts. You might try a
different font as a test and see if it makes a difference.

Also, is the font embedded in the presentation? What font is it?

Are you testing the runtime on another computer or on the same computer you
built the presentation on?

I've also seen this type of thing cleared up by round-tripping your file
through HTML in a previous version of PPT (2003 is good for this). Instrux
here: http://www.pptworkbench.com/html/round_trip.htm If you have a previous
version of PPT available, I'd start with this. It often weeds out the
woollies that playing a file in the 2007 Viewer sometimes brings to light.

PowerPoint 2007 itself relies heavily on printer drivers for display, but I
don't think the same can be said for the Viewer.

Hi

thanks for the help.

As web sites are my core business I always use the normal five fonts in this
case the presentation in in Arial. Tried time new roman but it gave me the
same problem.

Hadn't heard of the round trip concept so I tried that bit regretably that
didn't work either. But I only have 2007 loaded so tomorrow I'll dig out the
2000 disks and try it with PPT 2000

Thanks for the help so far

Ian
