Text Cut Off in Text Box

Word X 10.1.6 in OS X 10.3.8. Recent PowerBook. Older G4 desktop.

The right hand 0.2 inches or so of text in a text box is always cut off.
The problem is visible in Page Layout view and in all print formats.

If I make bigger margins inside the box, the text adjusts to the shorter
line but there is still a similar amount cut off on the right. I've
tried various fonts and formatting. I've tried selecting different
printers. Nothing seems to help.

I can "solve" the problem by converting the text box to a frame, but
wherever there is a change in paragraph style Word helpfully starts a
new frame and adjusts its size to the contents, thus destroying the
boxed layout I was after in the first place.

I'm taking a real stab at this one: Try Prefs > Compatibility > use printer
metrics to lay out documents setting.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that does not help at all. I have also
tried a few other compatibility options without any improvement.

Since nobody seems to have a solution to this bug, I have converted the
text box to a frame and used direct formatting rather than styles.

Hi Alan:

I've never seen that one either. I think you may have a corrupt document.

You want to flip me a copy and I will take a look?

Cheers
