Text disappears when change-tracked view is toggled off

I work for a publisher, and we use Word's change-tracking function to edit
manuscripts. A copyeditor has reported a problem I've never encountered. She
typically works with the edit marks invisible--that is, she's not viewing the
underlines and crossouts, just the text as it's edited. When she toggles into
the other view, everything's fine--all the edits show. But then when she
toggles back to what we call the "clean" view, chunks of text don't appear.
Like the end of a paragraph and the entire following paragraph.

She sent me the file, and it's fine on my computer. I asked her to close the
file and reopen it. She did, and the text appeared. Is there anything she can
do to avoid this happening? It's slowing down her work, and I'm paying her by
the hour.

She has a PC, I have a Mac. The original manuscript was created on a PC.
Thanks.

If she has a PC with the latest Intel 915 chipset using the GMA900 graphics,
then go to Intel and download and install the latest driver:
http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/intel915g/

If it is an ATI Radeon PCI-E card, do the same from www.atitech.com
