text displays and prints less than full size

When I open a particular document, the text displays (and prints) about 3/4
size. The original pagination is still present. The entire text is just
smaller. The document looks as though it was reduced on a copier. In page
setup and font size, all the settings are as they should be.

If the document is also printing high and to the left (or right), does it
contain tracked changes or comments?

That document may have had tracked changes or comments, and you have
the option set to display them in balloons. To display the balloons on
the right, Word squeezes the text. Sometimes Word seems to get "stuck"
in that mode even after the changes and comments are hidden or
removed.

Display the Reviewing toolbar. Click the down arrow next to either the
Accept button or the Reject button, and accept or reject all tracked
changes and comments. Then click the Show button, click Balloons, and
select Never. That should get you back to normal.
