Text doesn't resize with picture

I created a picture in PowerPoint and added text boxes to different sections
of the graphic. When completed, I captured everything and grouped it to one
unit. When I try to resize the graphic (reduce the size, in particular),
though, everything changes size but not proportionally. The text gets
smaller and stays aligned, but doesn't stay in the right location with the
graphic. Help!!!

Hammy,
If you select the textboxes first, and resize them by reducing the font size
and then resize the picture you should get better results. Grouped object
can still be selected individually by shift+clicking on them. That said
other than that i see no option but to ungroup and resize accordingly. But
maybe someone will have better ideas.

Hammy,

Either select your group with the big text in, and then repeatedly click the
"small A" on the top toolbar to make the text smaller

Or better still,

group everything.... edit menu > copy >edit menu > paste special > enhanced
metafile

then resize it... the text obeys now

UNGROUP it, if you need to re-edit the text
