How do you change Font in the following areas:

1. the names at the tops of the columns
2. Default Font size for all items (like Task Name, Resource Name, etc.)
3. Font size of the items to the right, left, center, etc of the gant chart
bars (accessed via right click on bar and chooseing bar styles...)

And how do you change the numbers that the outline view will show? In
otherwords, I dont want the first level to be a level in the outline.
Example
Current:
1 Project
1.1 Phase I of Project
1.1.1 Effort for phase I

Prefered:
Project
1 Phase I of Project
1.1 Effort for phase I

Hi,

Experiment with Format, Text Styles. The drop down box at the top of this
dialog lets you choose what you format.

For outline level, select Tools, Options and check Show Project Summary Task
in the View tab. This displays a level 0 for the Project. Task 0 Name is the
same as the title in File, Properties and can be accessed for headers and
footers.

All of this worked. Thansk.

One last question. Can you make the outline number show up with the task
name to the right or left of the bar on the gantt chart?

You can only show the contents of one field. You can show the outline number
inside the bar and the name to the right. Edit Bar Styles for this.

A strange thing is occuring for the "project summary task". I have the opions
set to show project summary task

There is text to the right of it which I am tryign to remove without
removing text to the right of all the summary bars. I DO want text to the
right of the summary bar. when I edit the text for the specific project
summary bar, it does NOT indicate there should be any text to the right of
it.

When i remove text from the summary bar (not the grey project summary bar,
just the normal black summary bar) the text goes away from the project
summary bar.

You can easily recreat this problem. Is there a work around?

Michael,

if you put the formula - Str([Outline Level])+" "+[Name] - in one of the
custom text fields, then display this next to the bar (using format bar),
that should do the job.

Michael,
try using the formula - Str([Outline Level])+" "+[Name] - in a custom test
field and then displaying that on your gantt next to the bar.
