Question: Deleted and/or inserted text not lined out or inserted in different
color; deletions DO show in balloons with lines, insertions are identical to
text in color. I uninstalled and re-installed Office 2003 to 'repair' the
problem and nothing changed. Anyone have an answer?

Yeah, but if you can't be bothered to type your question out in proper
sentences and paragraphs, I can't be bothered to type the answer out.

Look in Tools>Options>Track Changes for the settings. They are specific to
the document: reinstalling the software has no effect on this.

....And even though John's direction is accurate it should be noted that
you've posted to the Mac Word group If there is actually a problem that
goes deeper than the settings of Track Changes you may do better to pursue
it in the PC Word docmanagement (General) group:
