Text files aren't an option to import??

For some reason Access XP was giving me a problem importing a txt file so i
tried using Access 97. It worked for me at my work computer but the problem
now is text files are not one of the files of type listed for my machine
here. I tried Installing more data access options with the Install program
but that didn't work. i also tried running Dataacc.exe in the Office 97
Valupack. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how i can get txt
files to be an option to import?

Try re-registering the dll files like this:
Start Run
regsvr32 msexcl35.dll
regsvr32 msxbse35.dll
regsvr32 mspdox35.dll
regsvr32 mstext35.dll

Use 40 instead of 35 for A2K and 2002.
