text font size PP xp

Diane

I can't find any way to change a font size in the notes
part of PP for xp. Nothing allows the font size to show
on the tool bar. The boxs stay closed. I need a bigger
font size for notes. I can do this with ease on my old
200 version by highlighting and changing the font size.
The "autotype" doesn't make any difference.
Thanks

Go to View > Master > Notes Master and change the font settings for the
placeholder. What you see in Normal view is only the typing area and the
setting won't change that. Your master will control how the notes are
actually formatted and printed when you print the Notes Pages. Currently I
don't see it working much differently in PowerPoint 2000. Although you can
change the font size from the toolbar in PowerPoint 2000, it doesn't do
anything (must have been a bug). It still has to be changed in the Notes
Master.

In addition to Sonia's suggestion, you may simply not be seeing the
changes when you're in normal mode if you've not turned on the "show
formatting" option on the toolbar. (Looks like two captial As divided
with a diagonal line.)

Hey, that's not a bug, it's a feature.

By default, text formatting's turned off for notes in normal view, but if
you click the Show Formatting button on the outline toolbar (it's the one
with the A/A icon on it) your notes take on the formatting you've selected
for 'em.

This button toggles Formatting on and off for both Notes and Outline panes.

This in PPT2000, btw. Haven't prodded it in Tookay'n'Too
