Text for filename and path

I am trying to insert a textblock to automatically give the drawing directory
and filename. I can do either one using user defined cells or custom
properties. I make the value =directory() or =filename(). I cannot do
both like:

Drawings/schools/drawing1.vsd

The drawing I am working on currently does this. It was converted from an
AutoCAD file. The shapesheet has a section called text fields which I do not
see in Visio 2003. The values are included on separate lines. The problem is
something is wrong with this textblock. I cannot adjust the sides so it moves
around on the grids. I decided to forget this one and make a new one.

Any help is appreciated!

Are yoiu using Insert / Field to do this?
If so, just insert the Directory, then a "/", followed by FileName
You can insert as many fields and charcters as you like (even carriage
returns).

Yes, I am using Insert / Field. I noticed there is a section in this
called Document Info. I can choose directory or filename and it works
fine, but I cannot see how to combine the two. I tried
=document()/filename()
and it does not work.

HI David,

I found my problem. When I single click on a text block, it only allows
me to insert one field. If I try to add a second field, it replaces the
first field.

When I double click on the text block, I can simply keep adding
additional fields.

Thanks!
