Text for Gantt bars

C

Curt Wann

Am using MS Project 2000. I want to show to the right of
a Gantt bar two items of information: the finish date and
the resource name. In other works I want to concatenate
two fields of information to appear to the right of the
bar.

How can this be done?

Thanks. Curt

Hi,

Search help for custom formulas. Use a formula to concatenate the two fields
into say Text1 then in Format, Bar Styles you can show the Text1 field to
the right of your bars (under the Text tab).

Easiest way is to use a customized field.
From the tools menu select customize then fields. Choose an unused text
field.
Click the formula button and enter the following formula

[Finish] & " - " & [Resource Names]

Now format the bar to show the text field to the right of the bar.
