Text Import remove hard return

Hi All

In Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 when importing (place) a text file there was an
option to remove carrige returns from the end of lines.

Is there a similar option in Publisher 2K to do this.

If not can anyone suggest a simple utility that can do this to a text file

Edit/Replace for the carriage return character ^P with a blank space.
Hint: if this is a long document and you want to retain paragraph
formatting, do the following:
Edit/Replace ^P^P with some character string that isn't used in the document
such as @@@###. After that do the edit/replace for ^P with a space and
follow that up with edit/replace of the @@@### with ^P^P to restore the
paragraph spacing.
