I have custom title blocks that appear on every page of a large visio
document. Is there anyway format the background, so you can type directly
into the background shapes on all of the pages? I know I can create a
stencil master for the title block, but then I have to position it on every
page, etc., etc., etc...

Thanks!

Let me introduce one of my favourite features, the background page.

You can place anything on a background page and then attach the background
page to a foreground page. The background page reflects information about
the background page it is attached to. So if you use Insert Field to add
information to a background page, the page name, page number are based on
the foreground page that the background page is attached to.

John,
After you make and use a background page to put the same title block and
other stuff on all pages of the drawing, how to you keep the background page
from being visible as a separate tab/page in the drawing file?
