text in spanish with characters

I'm writing a brochure for spanish speakers. Is there a font available that
will put in the characters, etc. needed? I've tried to use the tools section
but I can't seem to make it work.

Use Insert > Symbol, or change your keyboard layout to a Spanish one.
Most fonts support Spanish characters.
