text inserted when it shoud not

I have outlook 2000. When I forward a message, and try and type in the
forwarded message, as soon as I hit any key on my keyboard, my name
surrounded by [] appears where my cursor is. You cant type anything without
it coming up. What is this and how can I turn it off? Thanks.

Click Tools>Options>E-Mail Options and uncheck "Mark my comments with"
