Text line formatting???

I am such a newb.. I was wondering if anyone would help me. I have a
contract created in Word. The contract has open gaps where text would
go i.e, address, names, cost and signatures etc. I would like to be
able to have these gaps have a line that is fixed and would not move
as I would type the info to fill in the gap. I just need to fill out a
form basically and not have all my text move as I type. Does this make
sense? Sorry for my lack of being able to explain my myself better.

It makes perfect sense, but it involves creating a Form Template, not just a
