Text On Top Of Headers

Hello Everyone,

I've been trying to place text on top of the header. The
header is a graphic that extends about 4 inches from the
top and 4 inches from the left side of the document. I
want to be able to start typing at about 3 inches from
the top and 1.25 inches from the left. I can't figure out
how to make Word allow the overlap. Has anyone figured
this out or a work-around? Please Help...

Two methods you can use:

1. Select the graphic and set its layout to 'Behind text'.

2. Set the top margin to the *negative* 3 inches. (This is a lost quirk in
Word: negative top and bottom margins mean start at that value -- ie 3
inches in your case -- regardless of where the header/footer has got to in
the page, overlapping if necessary.)
