Text over a image?

S

Steve Grosz

What I'm trying to do is be able to add text or a image over an existing
image. I'd like to be able to keep the original image, and put a 'sold out'
text or picture on top of it. I tried working with a layer, but the images
I'm working with are in a table. I tried making the layer as big as the
table, and then duplicating the table in the layer, and putting the text in
the field I wanted.

The problem is that as the resolution changes from monitor to monitor, the
layer shifts, and the picture and text don't line up anymore.

Any suggestions??

Thanks,
Steve

The easiest solution is either create a "Sold Out" image or add the words "Sold Out" under the image
if you want to be sure that everyone will see it basically the same.

I'd just make up a second image "sold out" and just change the image manually and
reupload the page.

If it's database driven, then you'd need to query the database to check the
status of the property like "For Sale", "Under Offer" or "Sold" etc. then load an
appropriate image for that record. I don't know the asp or SQL for it to work.
Else just do it manually - unless you're dealling within hundreds of
properties....it might be better to get a real estate application type thing
running.
